Its prestigious riverside location, combined with outstanding service
levels and unique W-shape design, has made The Peninsula Bangkok not
only a city landmark, but one of the capital’s finest five-star hotels
since the stunning 39-storey building opened its doors at the end
of 1998. Welcome to The Peninsula Bangkok, where guest expectations
are exceeded time and time again.
Each luxuriously appointed guest room and suite offers uninterrupted
views of the Chao Praya River and Bangkok skyline, and count among
the most spacious in the city. The hotel has won many awards and
accolades, including ‘Best Hotel in the World’ in 2003 by readers
of Travel + Leisure magazine.

easy access of the major business and shopping districts of Bangkok
and some fine attractions, the hotel is also just a short boat ride
fromSaphan Thaksin BTS (skytrain) station in the complimentary shuttle
service that is offered to guests.
Luxury at its best:
Guest rooms all feature pioneering technology, allowing guests to
control lighting, temperature and other hi-tech aspects at the touch
of a fingertip. Another useful feature is outdoor temperature and
humidity indicators in the room. Dining options are elegant and top-notch,
including contemporary Pacific Rim cuisine at the stylish Jesters
restaurant, authentic Cantonese cuisine at Mei Jiang, an extensive
International buffet at River Caf? & Terrace, as well as Thiptara,
a wonderful Thai restaurant serving home-style, authentic cuisine.
All other facilities at The Peninsula Bangkok are unrivalled and
world-class. A highlight is the magnificent, three-tiered swimming
pool and beautiful surroundings, like small traditional Thai ‘salas’
(a rooftop-only construction); your own little private area to relax
and unwind. The Fitness Centre is equally impressive and features
a gymnasium, sauna and steam rooms. A Beauty Salon offers a range
of beauty and massage treatments. Hotel guests also have special
access to an exclusive Golf Club. And, soon to come (at the end
of 2006), will be The Peninsula Bangkok’s own Spa, a 20-treatment
room sanctuary of sacred indulgence.

A touch of Art: Art lovers will be spoiled with the wonderful collection
of contemporary Asian art; throughout the hotel, and in each of
the 370 guest rooms and suites, the artwork of some of Asia’s best
artists grace the walls. Thai artist Natee Utarit’s work dominates
in the Pacific Rim restaurant, Jesters, while exquisite examples
of Vietnamese artist Phan Cam Tuong’s work can be found in the private
dining rooms of Mei Jiang, the chic and sophisticated Chinese restaurant.
Location is everything: The Peninsula Bangkok is located
on the west bank (Chonburi side) of the scenic Chao Praya River.
Taksin Bridge is nearby, leading to Sathorn, Silom and all major
shopping, entertainment and business districts. Hua Lamphong station
takes about 20 minutes to reach. The hotel’s complimentary shuttle
boats take only ten minutes to reach Saphan Taksin Pier, just a
few minutes’ walk to Saphan Taksin BTS (skytrain) station. Some
major attractions like the Grand Palace, the Reclining Buddha and
Golden Buddha temples are nearby, as well as the Temple of Dawn,
Chinatown and the Flower Market.
