The course is located quite remote and can be combined conveniently
on the way or return from Soi Dao Highland Golf Club, because it
is situated half way coming from Bangkok. Also from Pattaya it takes
1 ½ hours drive. First you drive 36 km direction to rayong and then
after 20 km into the 331 leading to Chachoensao. After you will
reach the 344 and turn right towards Klang. The course is right
hand side 10 km before Wang Chan.
The long drive will be rewarded because the course is full of surprises
and challenges, even for top players. On the first 9 narrow fairways
are leading through eucalyptus- and rubber plantations - the ground
is therefore often dye and hard. The second 9 offer a completely
different picture: fast panoramic landscape, a natural paradise
with dreamlike fairways. Best off all are the wide greens (a total
of 36) which will drive some players desperate due to the hilly
nature. It is probable not exaggerated to call the Wangjuntr one
of the most difficult courses in Thailand.
Since the course is only open on weekends, the club house and the
cadies are not top standard, the caddies are usually only part time
helpers.
