Construction is progressing on an exciting and exclusive eight suite
hotel and spa, The Barai, at Hyatt Regency Hua Hin. Set on beachfront
land among lush tropical foliage next to the Regency Club wing and expected
to open in March 2007, The Barai will provide an oasis of serenity over
4.5 acres of land (18,500 square metres), and has been designed to ensure
that guests enjoy the ultimate in relaxation and rejuvenation of body,
mind and spirit, whether for a few hours or a few days.
It features eight spa suites for treatments and overnight stays, 18 private
treatment rooms, a tranquillity court and pool for relaxation, yoga and
meditation sessions, and McFarland House – an elegant beachfront casual
dining area.
Designed by the renowned Thai architect and interior designer, Mr. Lek
Bunnag, The Barai is inspired by the Khmer cultural heritage. The architecture
and interior design of The Barai represents the glory of the Khmer style
of art, combined with the heritage of other art styles from this region.
This will be reflected not only in the grandeur of the main facilities
and in each of the treatment rooms, but also in all aspects of The Barai
experience.
