Where is Koh Tao?
Koh Tao is located in the Gulf of Thailand , and is the northernmost inhabited
island in the Samui archipelago. Koh Tao is just a short boat ride from
Koh Samui and Koh Phangan and can also be reached from the mainland city
of Chumporn.
Getting to Sensi Paradise from Koh Samui
All travel to Koh Tao is by boat, with a majority of visitors arriving
from Koh Samui, the largest island in the archipelago. The most popular
routes to the islands in the Gulf of Thailand go via Koh Samui. All air
transfers to the islands will be via Koh Samui, as it has the only airport
in the region. With Bangkok Airways, it is possible to fly direct to Koh
Samui from a number of destinations, including Phuket, Krabi, Bangkok
, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur. For visitors arriving from Koh Samui, we
recommend the 90-minute voyage with the Lomprayah Catamaran, which departs
from Samui's Mae Nam Beach twice daily, at 8 am, and 12 noon.
Getting to Sensi Paradise from Koh Phangan
From Koh Phangan the best travel is by Lomprayah. Boats are leaving daily,
at 8.30 am, and 12.30 noon.
Getting to Sensi Paradise from Chumporn
From Chumporn the best travel is by Lomprayah. Boats are leaving daily,
at 7 am, and 13 noon. While it is possible to fly to Chumphorn airport,
this is not the best option, as direct flights to Koh Samui are around
the same price and the boat ride from Chumphorn to Koh Tao takes longer.
Getting to Sensi Paradise from Surat Thani
Most travelers from Phuket & Krabi would reach Koh Tao via Surat Thani.
Sensi Paradise recommends that visitors avoid traveling directly to Koh
Tao from Surat Thani, if possible. The journey from Surat Thani to Koh
Tao is generally easier and more comfortable when done via Koh Samui,
even if this route takes longer .
