Hilltribe Museum
The Population and Community Development Association
(PDA) is a non-government organization responsible for some of the
most effective tribal development projects in the region. The popular
"Cabbages & Condoms" restaurants, with branches here
and in Bangkok (and now a resort in Pattaya), carry their important
message of safe sex and family planning. On the top floor of this
office is a small Hilltribe Museum that's heavy on "shop"
and light on "museum," but the admission goes to a good
cause. Open daily 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.; admission fee is 50B ($1.20)/person.
